„The Blue Monster” & Golf Academy Freudenstein

Since 2015, the peaceful hamlet of Riva di Sotto near Appiano has been enjoying unprecedented popularity. This is due to the Blue Monster, an impressive 9-hole golf course designed by Thomas C. Himmel in accordance with the latest planning standards. As hinted by the name, the Blue Monster features numerous water hazards and is especially suitable for players with a high handicap. Beginners (and experienced golfers) can practise their favourite sport on the Freudenstein Golf Academy course near Appiano, against the picturesque backdrop provided by the eponymous castle and surrounding vineyards.
